What services does Parent Builders provide?

We build custom homes, first and foremost. But we also do custom Remodeling and Additions, Lower Level Finishing, Detached Garages, Storm Damage Repair, Decks, Porches and Outdoor Living spaces, Foreclosure Restoration and adding Accessibility features to homes with special adaptation requirements like wheelchairs. If you can dream it, we can build it!

Q. Will you quote a price per square foot?

We don’t like to quote a generic price per square foot like some of the other builders. What’s best for you as a potential customer is to have us bid your house exactly as you’d like to see it finished. It then allows all of our subcontractors to give you their best price because they can eliminate any guesswork.

Q. What price range does Parent Builders homes fall in?

A fairly significant factor in any new home construction project is the lot price. Alhough we specialize in home & lot packages that range generally from $400,000 to $700,000, we are capable of building homes as low as $250,000. And because we use the same subcontractors for all of our homes your home will be built with the same high quality, professional craftsmanship as our more expensive homes. We will work with you to ensure your home size and price is appropriate for the community you choose.

Q. How does the building process work?

Brian and our New Home Specialist will have an initial meeting with you to talk about where you want to live and what type of home you’d like to build. You may choose one of our plans, or submit your own. Once we have the final blueprint we’ll send your home out for bid with your specifications regarding specific flooring choices, wood species for cabinets and trim, window brands, lighting fixtures, etc., to each of our subcontractors who will in turn provide us with their best pricing. Parent Builders will create a custom proposal for your home, which we then personally present to you. We’ll discuss the proposal together, make any requested changes, and then once you have given final approval we’ll be ready to go to the city to request a building permit. After receiving the building permit we generally can complete a home in approximately 100 days depending on the size and complexity of the home.

Q. Will we be able to make any changes after the house starts?

Yes. We want you to be completely thrilled and satisfied with your home when it is completed. Down to every last detail. We allow flexibility and accommodate most any changes you may want or need, while still keeping each step of the building process on track for the estimated completion date.
